Sunday afternoon in front of 3,660 spectators at Newman Outdoor Field, the Goldeyes were blasted 10-2 by the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, as the home side swept a three-game series from the Goldeyes. With the loss, Winnipeg fell to 37-36 and dropped 8 1/2 games behind Fargo in the race for first in the North. Fargo answered with two more in the bottom of the second on a two-run bomb by Bourquin, and then scored singles in the third, fifth and sixth. The home side then put up a three-spot in the seventh and the Goldeyes were done. Winnipeg finished with just two runs on four hits. Fargo starter Ethan Opsahl (1-0, 3.07 ERA) got the win, while Edgar Osuna (3-2, 3.03 ERA) was tagged for six runs on nine hits over five innings and took the loss.
